TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions (Terms & Conditions) relate to the Team Picker by Bolter (“Team Picker”).
Bolter is an online fantasy sports platform which operates a variety of fan engagement products, tools and competitions.
This website (picker.bolter.team) ("Website"), along with all subsidiary Bolter websites, is operated by Magic Sports Online Pty Ltd ABN 54 675 250 487 (“Company”).
These Terms & Conditions only relate to this Website and access to subsidiary websites will require agreeing to the individual subsidiary website’s terms and conditions.
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before accessing or using the Website. By registering and participating, users (“you” or “Users”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
The Company, the Promoter (if any) and the Website are not endorsed by or affiliated in any way with the AFL and the AFLW, nor the official AFL Fantasy and AFLW Fantasy websites.
1. WHO MAY USE THE WEBSITE
Registration requirements
1.1. Registering to the Team Picker is free and open to anyone.
2. TERM OF THE WEBSITE
2.1. The Team Picker will be open at 7:00 PM (AEDT) on 24 November 2024 and is expected to end at the commencement of Round 1 of the 2025 AFL premiership season, currently estimated to be Thursday 13 March 2025. The Company reserves the right to cancel the Team Picker at any time for any reason or extend it beyond these dates.
3. HOW TO REGISTER
Registration
3.1. Users must complete the online registration form via picker.bolter.team/register. If any Users has already registered for an alternative Bolter website, they can register for the Team Picker by selecting Picker on the dropdown menu when logged in and accept the Terms & Conditions.
3.2. There are no fees or charges for registration and participation in the Team Picker.
3.3. Users must register under their legal actual name and state of residence and register for Team Picker once. Under no circumstances can Users enter two or more registrations in Team Picker. Any Users who enters two or more registrations in Team Picker or is suspected to be operating multiple accounts at any time, may be removed from Team Picker.
3.4. The Company assumes no responsibility for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind. The Company reserves the right to remove any user who does not abide by the Website Terms & Conditions.
Participation
3.5. Registrations are not transferable.
3.6. Users who upload content containing offensive or defamatory comments, as wholly determined by the Company, may be removed at any time.
4. SPONSORS & ADVERTISING
4.1. The Company may promote third party content on the Website, Podcasts or Social Media channels that relate to Bolter and the Team Picker. The Company may also display advertising on the Website via a third party advertising provider such as Google AdSense. Users should read and agree to the third party’s terms and conditions prior to engaging with their products or services and the Company takes no responsibility for the advertising that may be displayed on the Website.
5. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
5.1. To the extent permitted by law, the Company and the Promoter are not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to person or property, including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss, by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent while, or as a result of, using the Team Picker.
5.2. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects, nor is intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Company and the Promoter for breach of any such rights is limited to the supplying of the relevant goods or services again.
5.3. The Company believes fantasy sports are communal, fun, and an escape from the burden of everyday life. However, fantasy sports can also cause angst, stress and disappointment at times. While the Promoter, the Company and each of their Associated Entities attempt to celebrate the fun component of fantasy sports, there is no guarantee that you will not experience the negative impacts and you do so at your own risk. You can remove your registration at any time via your account settings or by email us at info@magicsports.online.
6. MAGIC UP
6.1. Users will have the option to Magic Up via the Website. Magic Up contains information, analysis and other services and content intended to increase enjoyment of the Website. You do not need Magic Up to use the Team Picker. Magic Up does not increase your chances of winning any prize on the Bolter websites or competitions or external fantasy sport websites or competitions.
Magic Up content is provided by the Company, Magic Sports Online Pty Ltd, and the information is integrated into your Team Picker account. Payment for Magic Up is charged by the Company and Users who elect to Magic Up will need to agree to the terms and conditions of the Company.
The Magic Up content can only be accessed by Users who have made a successful payment to the Company at registration or via the Magic Up page.
Magic Up contains information and analysis that relate to advanced statistics and the attempted prediction of future events or performances. The Company and the Promoter do not guarantee or warrant that the information from Magic Up will be correct, accurate, reliable or fit for any particular purpose.
Magic Up is not designed to, and does not, increase your chances of winning a prize; it simply provides centralised content that may enhance a User’s experience.
6.2. Magic Up costs $14.95 (including GST) upfront and access to the service will commence at the time of payment until the end of the AFL men’s Season (estimated to be 28 September 2025).
6.3. The Company may provide complimentary Magic Up services their own discretion.
6.4 The is no guarantee that Magic Up will unlock additional benefit outside of the features described on the Website.
6.5 Magic Up does not grant access to the premium Magic Up content and information for AFLW Bolter 2025, which will require Magic Up AFLW, a separate product.
6.6. The Company and the Promoter make no representation or warranty to an Users in relation to the services or information provided and any Users using Magic Up agrees that they do so at their own risk.
6.7. The Company may offer additional promotions, services, prizes and rewards for Users who sign elect to Magic Up. To be eligible for the additional Magic Up rewards, subscription must occur prior to the cutoff date and time listed in the promotion.
6.8. The Company may offer a separate premium service on this Website in addition to Magic Up which may require additional payment for access.
7. FORCE MAJURE
7.1. All Users acknowledge and agree that neither the Company or the Promoter are liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation under these Terms & Conditions insofar as the performance of such obligation is prevented by an event beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to, a pandemic or epidemic, earthquake, fire, flood or any other natural disaster, labour dispute, riot, revolution, terrorism, acts of restraint of government or regulatory authorities, failure of computer equipment, ongoing internet or telecommunications outage or failure or delay of sources from which data relevant to Team Picker is obtained.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS
8.1. The Company, its Related Entities and their directors, employees and agents are not responsible for and shall not be liable for:
i. the consequence of any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Company, that may cause the website to be disrupted or corrupted; or
ii. any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused or resulting from using in the Team Picker; or
iii. any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with Team Picker or Magic Sports; or
iv. any information or material produced by the Promoter.
8.2. The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Team Picker, should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of the Company, in its sole opinion, corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the Website or to disqualify any Users who engages in offensive, illegal or objectionable conduct.
The Company reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend these Terms & Conditions, or the operation of Team Picker, at any time as a result of any unforeseen events or circumstances, or any cause beyond the control of the Company.
8.3. Users can only access and use Team Picker for the purpose of participating in Team Picker, and not for any other purpose. Without limiting the above, Users must not:
i. use any data mining or similar data gathering tools;
ii. make copies, electronic or otherwise of any of the content available through Team Picker including content provided by Magic Up (“Team Picker Content”);
iii. provide or otherwise communicate any of the Team Picker Content by electronic or other means to any other person;
iv. distribute or display any Team Picker Content, including on any electronic network or any other platform;
v. alter or change any part of the Team Picker Content; or
vi. create any derivative works based on the Team Picker Content.
The Company reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove any Users who breaches any of these requirements.
8.4. The Company may collect information about Users, including for example, a User’s name and contact details which Users provide when registering for Team Picker (“Users Information”) in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). The Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms & Conditions, of which the Privacy Policy forms part.
The Company may disclose Users Information to its Related Entities and to the Promoter
Further information about how the Company handles personal information, how Users can make a complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles, how the Company will deal with a complaint of that nature, how Users can access or seek correction of their personal information and the Company’s contact details can be found in our Privacy Policy at picker.bolter.team/privacy.
8.5. The Company does not consider the Team Picker to be a competition. It is merely a tool for fantasy sport enthusiasts.
8.6. By accessing and using the Website, Users consent to their personal information being used for the purposes set in these Terms & Conditions.

9. SERVER ISSUES AND OUTAGES
9.1. As access to Team Picker is provided using the internet, the Company and the Promoter do not provide any warranties or guarantees that access to Team Picker, and/or Magic Up, will be free of outages, interruptions or other similar issues.
